Chad Rainy, who shot another video of the crash, told CNN he had a boat in the harbor near the bridge and heard an explosion.

He went up to see what had happened, and recorded the aftermath of the accident. In his shots he could see dark pillars of smoke rising from the plane.

Miami-Dade police said on Twitter after the crash that Collins Avenue was closed between 96,163 streets in two directions, warning drivers to “wait for heavy traffic delays and look for alternative routes.”
