Mint Chata:

It seems to me that with every RumChata cocktail I make here at Simple Cocktails, it’s hard to be more creative և: More interesting with the following recipe. Now that we are on the verge of spring, my attention is focused on the mint plants, which are just beginning to show signs of life.

So how do you put mint in a cinnamon rum-cream liqueur like RumChata? It turns out that RumChata was actually the perfect connecting ingredient for the other two, which I chose to use in this cocktail for apple whiskey և cream de mente. Here’s how I made it.

MintCata (by Greg Macy)

  • Connect in shakes.
  • 1 ounce RumCata:
  • 1 1/2 ounces apple whiskey (I used: Tullamore Dew Cider Cask:)
  • 1/4 ounce cream mentee (I used a natural one called: Embassy Series:)
  • Shake with ice and squeeze into a glass of frozen cocktail
  • Garnish with a sprig of mint

The result is a light, fragrant, fun cocktail with lots of familiar flavors that is absolutely delicious.
