Trevor Noah “She cried all week” after losing her beloved grandmother Francis “Gogo” Noah.
The 38-year-old host of the Daily Show paid tribute to Gogo, who died this week at the age of 95.
Accepting to: Instagram: On Thursday, Emmy Laureate shared a silent video where the couple was photographed next to a few touching words from the heart.
The tribute was also guided by the grandmother’s quote. “How can I smile for a photo when I have no teeth?”
“This morning our family buried the oldest member of our clan, Francis Noah, or as many of us called him, Gogo,” he captioned the video. “My grandmother was born in 1927, she was 95 years old, she still had the best memory of all of us.
“Every moment spent with him seemed like a magical journey through time, where he would tell the greatest joys of the family, the losses, the achievements, the important events.”
In his deep homage, Noah thanked the fans for the “condolences and blessings” he received this week.
The comedian said that his grandmother “showed me the most accurate definition of unconditional love.”
“She died in her sleep, she even blessed us with one last Mother’s Day, which she enjoyed the most. “Hamba Kahle Gogo,” he concluded his heartfelt respect.
