Rapper Young Thug has been arrested on a criminal charge

Atlanta rapper Young Thug was jailed in Georgia on Monday on charges of criminal activity.

Young Thug is one of 28 people named in a 56-point indictment that includes corrupt organizations or the RICO Act of Georgia involved in criminal street activities, according to court documents.

The indictment focuses on YSL, or Young Slime Life, which prosecutors say was a street gang created in Atlanta in 2012, according to an indictment filed in Fulton Supreme Court.

Young Thug, 30, whose real name is Jeffrey Lamar Williams, is believed to be one of the three founding members of YSL, according to the indictment. The indictment states that the ECJ claims that it is related to the national Bloods criminal group.

Young Thug’s lawyer Brian Steele said his client was innocent and would be acquitted.

“Mr. Williams does not break any law. We will fight against this case with ethical, legal energy. “Mr. Williams will be released,” said Steele.

Fulton County jail records show the Grammy-winning rapper was booked on Monday. It does not indicate the release date.

According to the indictment, Yang was charged with two counts: conspiracy to commit RIKO and participation in a criminal street gang.

The others in the indictment face other charges, including murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and armed robbery.

Both the federal RICO charter and the Georgian version of the law were designed to suppress organized crime.

The indictment states that the RICO conspiracy took place from 2013 to this year. The indictment for the activities of the street gang against Young states that it took place on Sunday, May 12, 2018, or in the period between.

The Fulton County Attorney’s Office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
