Mandy Moore He got sick of saying goodbye to “This is us.”
Speaking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the 38-year-old actress spoke about the filming of the last two episodes of the hit NBC drama “This Is Us”.
While reading the script from the second episode of the show, Moore revealed that he had a particularly difficult time moving away from the character he had played for the past six years.
“Let me tell you, the penultimate episode that airs is about a week, I read it when I read it,” he confessed. “And maybe that’s because it’s really close to a bone for me. For example, this is my life for the last six years և I have to say goodbye to the character, my family և my friends on the set at the same time. և This character also says goodbye by accident, so there is a lot to it. But I still think, for example, you might need a day off from work. ”
The previous episode ended with Moore playing the role of Rebecca Pearson, who is nearing the end of her life.
While it looks like the next episode of the series will be heartbreaking, Moore assured viewers that the final episode will leave fans with their feelings.
“But the final is a little more of a hug. I think there is a little more sobriety. Yes, the second one destroyed me. “I have a feeling it can destroy people,” he said.
Mendy also revealed that he had said goodbye to the long-running series with a few memories he had taken from the set.
“I went a mile, took one last walk around Pearson’s house, took some family photos from the wall, just put the frames back on,” he explained. “They were going to throw away those pictures anyway, but they meant something to us.”
The actress said that she took the Steelers shirt from the Super Bowl episode of the show, as well as Rebecca’s engagement ring, both of which she described as “sentimental”.
“This is us” airs on NBC on Tuesday at 9 p.m.
